We can’t think of a better way to ring in our nine-year anniversary than with another successful 0.5K Crow Peak Challenge and Live Auction!! Thank you doesn't feel sufficient. We are so grateful to everyone who came out for this third annual event and made it so fun! This year’s event brought in $8,233 for Butte, Custer, Lawrence, Meade (SD) and Crook (WY) Counties. Our Pennington County chapter, also known as Jake’s Fund, has its own annual fundraiser, the Hobo’s Heartbreakers Pooch Pageant.

We founded on May 2, 2014; however, we did not accept our first application until May of 2015. To date, we have assisted 126 families paying out over $35K in grants to area veterinary clinics and pet crematories. In 2022, we granted $6,191 in assistance to 19 families. To date this year, we have already assisted 15 families paying out almost $5,500! We are on track to break two HHH records and it is all because of YOU!

Good Boy, Spyke.

Hobo’s Healing Heart made it possible to cover costs of cremation for our Bully of 8 years, Spyke. They truly are amazing. Thank you so much for helping in our hardest point of saying good-bye!

- Marcella

On a personal note, I know I say this a lot and I will never stop saying it, we truly, truly cannot do what we do without the support of all of you and our volunteers! Often times people thank me for “All you do with Hobo's Healing Heart”, and I always correct them because it isn't me that makes this organization successful. I only had the idea, we are here and helping others because of an amazing board who truly believe in our cause and work together to keep our mission going strong, the volunteers who help with the tasks of organizing, marketing, and hosting fundraisers, and all of our financial backers whether sponsors or donors! Every single one of you are who make the difference in your neighbor’s lives. YOU are healing hearts by providing peace of mind or closure to families across the Black Hills. Your generosity of time and money humble me and bring tears to my eyes. I think I can speak for all whom we’ve helped, all who we will help, and the Board of Directors when I say, ‘WE LOVE YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!'
