Erica Lane Harvey

Vice President

Erica is a photographer, adventurer and pet lover who has been taking pictures for more than 25 years, often with the loveable pets in her life serving as her models.

Erica’s love affair with photography started when she was only 8 years old, and her mother passed along a Canon AE-1 Program camera that she had inherited. Later that year, Erica won her first photography contest with a photo of a baby deer.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in visual journalism from Brooks Institute of Photography in California, and she has had a photography business in Rapid City since 2005. Her passions are landscape and wildlife photography. Erica plans to grow her pet portrait photography business in her new studio space where she will strive for an atmosphere that is welcoming to pets and their humans.

Erica’s love for pet photography started with her love of her toy poodle, Peanut. Peanut had many health issues, but she was a fighter. Despite her disabilities, she lived to 14.5 years. Peanut changed Erica’s life, and Erica’s experience with a special-needs dog has led her to honor Peanut by working with Hobo’s Healing Heart.
