April is National Heartworm Awareness Month, and at Hobo's Healing Heart, we're using this time to remind our community that heartworm is a preventable disease — one that costs far less to prevent than to treat. Please note that applications for emergency grant funding involving a preventable disease, including heartworm, require documented proof of preventative care, and applications without that documentation will be denied.
