2026 0.5K Crow Peak Challenge Recap

The 2026 Hobo’s Healing Heart 0.5K Crow Peak Challenge started off looking like a perfect spring day… and then the weather had other plans.

Cold. Wind. And a whole lot of “are we really doing this?” rolled in fast—but that didn’t stop our people.

115 participants (and their furry sidekicks) showed up, leaned in, and proved once again that this community doesn’t back down when it matters.

Together, we raised $5,872 to help local families facing emergency veterinary costs—real dollars that will go directly to keeping pets with the people who love them when they need it most.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was honoring Erica Harvey of Erica Lane Photography with the Mike’s Hobinator Spirit Award. If you’ve ever attended one of our events, you’ve seen her work—capturing the moments that matter, the people behind the mission, and the pets who make it all worth it. Year after year, she’s helped tell the story of Hobo’s Healing Heart in a way that lasts far beyond race day.

None of this happens without the people behind the scenes.

Our volunteers and sponsors are the reason we’re able to do what we do—show up for families in some of their hardest moments and keep this mission moving forward. Their time, energy, and support don’t just make events like this possible… they make the impact possible.

You’ll see our full 2026 volunteer and sponsor lineup below—these are the people who help turn a “crazy idea” like a 0.5K into real dollars for real families.

And we’re not done yet…

Don’t miss the 2026 0.5K Don’t Get Lost Challenge on July 12, 2026 - 12PM at Lost Cabin Beer Co. in Rapid City!

If Crow Peak was any indication, you’re going to want to be there.

Same mission. Same impact. Different kind of chaos.
