March is National Puppy Month, a time to celebrate the joy puppies bring while raising awareness about the dangers of puppy mills and the lifelong harm they cause. At Hobo’s Healing Heart, we believe loving puppies means protecting them through adoption, ethical breeding, and responsible choices that ensure every puppy’s story begins with love.

We raised $10,554 and had 130 amazing supporters join us at the 2025 0.5K Crow Peak Challenge! Highlights included awarding the Hobo’s Legacy Award to longtime supporters Fritz Carlson and John Costello—and seeing the coveted Shawn Funk Crow Peak Mug sell for an incredible $2,800! 💛🐾 Together, we’re making a life-saving difference for pets and families in need.

Cats, and Goats, and Dinosaurs, OH-MY! The 0.5K Dog Walking Dead Prairie Berry Challenge capped off the Hobo’s Healing Heart 0.5K Trifecta Series raising more funds for Black Hills families needing assistance with emergency veterinary care and pet cremation services.

Nearly 100 people and their furry family members turned out for the 0.5K Don’t Get Lost Challenge at Lost Cabin Beer Co to raise money for Hobo’s Healing Heart.
